Running a Google Adwords PPC campaign has become different from the past. With increased competition of popular keywords and complex Google algorithm, running a Google Adwords PPC campaign is indeed tougher than before. Chances of getting hold of sales become slimmer. 1. The increase in cost per click
The minimum cost per click of one’s keyword might increase to US$5. At this price, a high cost on advertising would have to be incurred. 2. Poor Advertisement Copy
When words used on one’s PPC advertisements are unrelated to one’s search keywords, Google increase the minimum cost-per-click, lowers the advertisement ranking and the number of impression.
3. Low Landing Page Quality
Landing pages that only have few outgoing links are not preferred. It goes the same for landing pages with inappropriate information. Google has a scoring system on the quality for landing page (quality score). The cost per click will be increased and the impression of advertisements will be decreased for those with low quality scores. The quality of affiliate landing page however is not something one can control.
4. Keyword Combinations Not Optimized in Keyword Groups
Google compares the use of keyword combinations with one’s PPC advertisement. A lower ranking and lower impression for a particular keyword result when keyword combinations are not optimized in keyword groups.
5. Fierce Competition from Rich Users
There are large organizations that can afford the high cost and rich online marketers who have no qualms on paying huge bucks to achieve high rankings for their advertisements. Those that do not have the sufficient funds will suffer and lose out under this kind of competition.
